About the role
The Equipment Technician role is full-time and on-site 5 days per week in our Sterling, VA office. This role will report directly to the Operations Lead. We are currently hiring for two open positions, one with an immediate start date and another anticipated to begin in July 2026.
Responsibilities
- Prepare orders for outbound shipments in a timely fashion
- Receive inbound (returned equipment), inspect equipment for issues and perform functional tests
- Follow packing standards for preparing outbound orders
- Utilize shipping software to prepare labels and schedule shipments
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to learn new equipment and systems through self-directed research, manager-led training and observation
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and clarity
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and asking questions to build understanding
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with document control or knowledge management systems a plus
- Interest in working with load bank equipment used in data centers (preferred)
