Equipment Technician

About the role

The Equipment Technician position is located at 1450 Robins Road, Suite 300, Hiawatha, IA 52233.

Responsibilities

• Develop working knowledge of the equipment to be assembled.
• Disassemble used equipment returned by customers and clean reusable parts for reassembly.
• Create shipping labels. Track shipping. Package parts for shipping.
• Receive parts and returned equipment.
• Help manage parts inventory.
• The equipment worked on is used by pest control companies for applying liquid termiticide. The main equipment includes a handheld device weighing around 45 lbs. with several parts that need to be assembled and disassembled using small wrenches.

Requirements

• 100% onsite
• 12-month contract to start with possible extensions up to 24 months
• Hands-on experience maintaining equipment or assembling equipment
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Pay close attention to detail
• Complete routine assignments without constant guidance
• Work alone at times once training is complete
• Positive attitude
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS Diploma preferred with an Associate's Degree
