Equipment Technician
Position Summary
The Equipment Technician as known as Depot Service Technician will test, diagnose, and repair computer printers and other electronic equipment. Coordinate toner/consumable replenishment for Managed print and provide technical phone support on a wide variety of printers/copiers/electro-mechanical devices.
Essential Responsibilites
- Provide technical phone support to field service technicians and customers
- Cookier replenishment
- Test, diagnose, and repair/refurbish printers/copiers/electro-mechanical devices
- Complete necessary paperwork for equipment/parts being repaired/shipped
- Earn manufacture product certification through training as assigned
- Read and interpret mechanical schematics and wiring diagrams to support troubleshooting efforts
- Work in a team environment, and across departments
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Education/Experience Requirements: Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, OR minimum one year of experience in the field of computer printer/copier repair, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems/Microsoft Office
- Ability to Multitask
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong electronic and mechanical ability
- Effective organizational skills
- Able to earn manufacture product certification through training as assigned
- Able to work in a team environment, and across departments
Physical / Mental Requirements
- Sit frequently at a desk
- Frequent fine hand and finger movements (keyboard, writing, mouse movement)
- Continual close visual acuity for reading
- Hearing and Speaking for communication within and outside of company
- May be required to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds for set up/movement of office equipment
