Equipment Supply Manager

Tasks

  • Define and lead execution strategy for equipment across multiple teams, functions, and organizations.
  • Articulate requirements, goals, and milestones for equipment delivery with appropriate stakeholders responsible for specific areas (system leads, senior managers, project managers).
  • Drive equipment delivery on time and on budget per the Natrium Project plan.
  • Work with project teams to develop plans, influence teams to deliver to them, and keep leadership informed on progress.
  • Cook up and coordinate the timely review of deliverables across cross functional teams.
  • Work with project teams to ensure that work focuses on the highest priority as appropriately reflected in the schedule.
  • Initiate and rapidly execute recovery efforts when cost and schedule items arise.
  • Escalate challenges promptly to ensure they receive adequate attention and resources for resolution.
  • Work with Corporate Procurement and Supply Chain teams to execute equipment specific procurement strategies.
  • Coordinate and drive strategies for vendor engagement prior to RFP to ensure viability of design specifications and scopes of work.
  • Track and monitor the issuance and release of contracts for all equipment-related scopes.
  • Oversees vendor performance for vendor awarded scope.
  • Monitor contract budgets and approved values to verify that work is adequately funded and aligns with project financial parameters.
  • Work with Testing teams to ensure development, demonstration and qualification testing efforts support equipment delivery needs. This includes funding, timing and applicability of testing.
  • Manage risks to schedule and budget associated with testing programs.
  • Reinforce organizational accountability for testing programs and results.
  • Facilitate timely incorporation of any test results impacting design.
  • Work with Natrium Fabrication Oversight to manage fabrication vendors, to identify and manage witness or hold point notifications to ensure appropriate stakeholder involvement at critical stages.
  • Work with Natrium Construction team to ensure on-site requirements and strategies for assembly, installation and inspections are integrated with equipment delivery plans.
  • Work with TerraPower QA and Licensing groups to ensure adherence to quality requirements, regulatory guidelines, and industry standards as specified in equipment delivery efforts and documents.
  • Work with Project Management and Project Controls groups to ensure up to date cost and schedule forecasting, including identification of trends and risks.
  • Work with Commissioning team to ensure adequate documentation, materials, spare parts, and support is available to expeditiously perform andy planned testing on site.
  • Closely interface with Natrium Product Management to ensure that equipment design, performance, and requirements are aligned with product and project needs.
  • Implement accountability and governance checkpoints for testing programs, ensuring compliance with quality standards and timely integration of results into design and delivery plans.
  • Conduct regular prioritization and triage reviews to confirm that work efforts remain focused on the highest-value activities aligned with schedule and risk mitigation.
  • Lead development and implementation of recovery and get-well plans when deviations from cost or schedule occur, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Establish and execute formal escalation management protocols, including triggers, escalation paths, and timing to ensure timely resolution of critical issues.

Key Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience related to Supply Chain, Project Management, or Project Delivery.
  • Proven leader, with a strong technical background, in one or many areas of the scope.
  • Proficient in project management tools such as Jira and P6 (Primavera).
  • Strong familiarity with nuclear codes, standards, and regulations, including ASME BPVC, ASME QME-1, NQA-1, IEEE standards, and industry requirements.
  • PREFERRED: Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), Six Sigma, or Lean methodology.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a large project scope across multiple teams with strong dependencies.
  • Great communication skills, and effective cross-organization collaborator.
  • Thrives and succeeds in a fast-paced and changing environment where plans need to adjust to meet project goals.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Creative, proactive, attentive to detail, and can take ownership of problems and their resolution.
  • The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork.
