Equipment Supply Coordinator (PRN, Rotating Shifts)
Position Summary
This role is responsible to ensure, for clinical department(s), that equipment and patient rooms are in an efficient state of readiness. Responsible for maintenance and tracking of equipment, processing of equipment and equipment delivery to various areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs unit rounds to assure appropriate equipment location and state of readiness.
- Performs basic preventative maintenance of equipment.
- Aids staff with room/equipment set up, clean up and room turnover.
- Maintains frequent and effective communication with clinical team re: needs.
- Utilizes personal protection equipment and work practice controls to prevent/minimize occupational exposure to blood or other infectious materials.
- Chemical cleaning of equipment as required.
- Captures pick up and delivery of patient care equipment as required or requested.
- Affirms timely delivery to appropriate locations.
- Coordinates and tracks equipment repair and time turnaround with other departments.
- Adheres to all Unity Health System policy and procedures.
- Keeps updated and actively participates in department and hospital operational initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Two years clinical healthcare experience preferred.
- Good people skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple requests.
- Previous Emergency Department equipment coordinator experience preferred.
Licenses / Certifications
Physical Requirements: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. Pay Range
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
