Equipment Service Technician - Machine Shop (Full-Time)

About the role

Role Overview: The Machine Shop – Equipment Service Tech is responsible for providing advanced machining, CNC programming, fabrication, welding, and equipment support to maintain and enhance production processes. Work Environment: Inside a large auto manufacturing plant, with physical demands such as standing on concrete floors and lifting heavy loads.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machinery using CAD/CAM software
• Develop machining processes
• Inspect parts for quality
• Work from sketches, prints, and 3D models
• Perform manual machining, welding, and routine maintenance
• Collaborate with team members
• Respond to emergencies to minimize downtime
• Support safety, quality, and delivery goals

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-4 years of machining or tool & die experience preferred
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and support shift changes
• Physically capable of standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working inside a manufacturing environment
• Strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, teamwork orientation, and adaptability to support production needs
