Are you mechanically inclined with a knack for hands-on work? Do you enjoy a flexible schedule and working independently? Join our growing team as an Equipment Service Specialist (ESS) and become a Trusted Advisor to STERIS Customers in maintenance and procurement of medical devices and consumable products. This role involves performing expert-level skills in on-site preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, equipment modification, and installation support for complex mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic issues in a fast-paced, highly regulated hospital environment.

About the Role

This includes providing customer training and leveraging deep expertise in specific equipment and service technologies. You will also partner with the Technical Training team to implement seamless processes and controls that drive training effectiveness. Daily travel by driving a company vehicle is required. If offered this position, STERIS will run a 7-year driving record check as part of the onboarding process. • Resolve the most difficult technical issues across the district as a technical subject matter expert for the team.
  • Identify and provide input to training processes and programs to achieve performance and revenue goals.
  • Search out opportunities with hospitals, quote, and close service opportunities with customers within assigned accounts and across the district.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with 8 years of progressive work experience, including 4 years of experience maintaining and repairing STERIS equipment, or combined experience with STERIS and competitive equipment and 2 years in a highly regulated industry (e.g., healthcare, medical equipment, oil and gas).
  • In lieu of a High School Diploma or GED, an Associate’s degree or related certifications in a technical/mechanical area, competitive equipment training, or related military experience may be considered toward the technical experience requirement.
  • Must be compliant with hospital/customer credentialing requirements.
  • Must successfully achieve ESS II training and promotional requirements.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass all required background checks.

Benefits

  • Market-competitive pay.
  • Extensive paid time off and 9 additional holidays.
  • Comprehensive healthcare, dental, and vision benefits.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Company vehicle, cell phone, and laptop provided.
  • Tools, equipment, and uniforms provided.
  • Long-term and short-term disability coverage.
  • Maternity and paternal leave.
  • Additional add-on benefits/discounts, such as pet insurance.
  • Tuition reimbursement and continued education programs.
  • Excellent opportunities for advancement and stable long-term career growth.

Pay

The pay range for this opportunity is $76,075.00 - $98,450.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation. Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums if higher than the range listed.
