Equipment Rental Specialist

About the role

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to support telephone and walk-in customers with rentals of all types of construction and industrial equipment. This role is the Company’s front line of contact with the customer, responsible for understanding customer equipment needs, negotiating and placing orders, and delivering customer satisfaction through a professional attitude at all times. The position offers steady hours with potential overtime and provides a career track for growth into outside sales or operational management.

Responsibilities

• Support customers via telephone and in-person with equipment rental needs.
• Understand, negotiate, and place orders for construction and industrial equipment.
• Deliver exceptional customer service with a professional attitude.
• Perform administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s license required.
• Familiarity with various types of construction and industrial tools and equipment.
• Previous equipment rental industry experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and telephone skills.
• Solid computer and administrative skills.
• Successful completion of the DOT Qualification process preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be preferred in some locations.

Physical Demands

• Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more.
• Working indoors and outdoors as required by the job.

Pay

Base Pay Range: $23.52 - $27.93. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
