Equipment Rental Specialist
About the role
Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to support telephone and walk-in customers with rentals of all types of construction and industrial equipment. This role is the Company’s front line of contact with the customer, responsible for understanding customer equipment needs, negotiating and placing orders, and delivering customer satisfaction through a professional attitude at all times. The position offers steady hours with potential overtime and opportunities for career growth through an outside sales or operational management track.
Responsibilities
- Support customers via telephone and in-person interactions to understand their equipment rental needs.
- Negotiate and place orders for construction and industrial equipment rentals.
- Provide strong administrative support to ensure smooth transactions.
- Maintain a professional attitude to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Valid Driver’s license required.
- Familiarity with various types of construction and industrial tools and equipment.
- Previous equipment rental industry experience preferred.
- Successful completion of the DOT Qualification process preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be preferred in some locations.
Skills
- Strong customer service and telephone skills.
- Solid computer and administrative skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more, bend, squat, crouch, reach, and work indoors/outdoors as required by the job.

Pay
Base pay range: $21.38 - $25.38 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
