About the role
Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an Inside Sales Representative (Equipment Rental Specialist) to support telephone and walk-in customers with rentals of all types of construction and industrial equipment. This front-line role involves understanding customer equipment needs, negotiating and placing orders, and delivering customer satisfaction through a professional attitude. The position offers steady hours with potential overtime and career growth opportunities through an outside sales or operational management track.
Responsibilities
- Support customers via telephone and in-person with equipment rental needs.
- Understand customer requirements and negotiate orders.
- Place orders for construction and industrial equipment rentals.
- Maintain a professional attitude to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Perform administrative tasks related to sales and customer service.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Valid Driver’s license required.
- Familiarity with various types of construction and industrial tools & equipment.
- Previous equipment rental industry experience preferred.
- Successful completion of the DOT Qualification process preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be preferred in some locations.
Skills
- Strong customer service and telephone skills.
- Solid computer and administrative skills.
- Ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift 50 pounds or more.
- Willingness to work indoors and outdoors as required by the job.

Pay
Base pay range: $21.38 - $25.38 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on factors including location, education, training, and experience.
