EQUIPMENT MATERIEL SPECIALIST
Job Description and Duties
The Equipment Materiel Specialist will perform a variety of tasks including inspecting, maintaining, and repairing equipment, managing inventory, and coordinating with other departments. Duties may also include responding to customer inquiries, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Minimum Requirements
- A valid California Driver’s License (CDL)
- Completion of a relevant degree program or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in equipment inspection, maintenance, and repair
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures

Special Requirements
- Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a State owned or leased vehicle.
- The position requires a valid California Drivers License (CDL).

Benefits
Employees in this classification may be eligible for a Recruitment Hire-Above Minimum Authorization salary rate commensurate to CalHR salary laws, rules, and regulations. Additionally, employees in this classification may be eligible to receive an additional amount for recruitment and retention monthly pay differential. The Hire-Above Minimum Authorization and monthly pay differential may be removed upon movement from the approved classes or locations.
