EQUIPMENT MATERIEL SPECIALIST

About the role

The Equipment Materiel Specialist (EMS) works in an Equipment Shop within the Caltrans Division of Equipment (DOE). They receive supervision from the Equipment Materiel Manager I / II and day-to-day direction from the Senior Equipment Materiel Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Purchases, inventory, disbursement, shipping and receiving of equipment parts, materiel, related equipment and services for the fabrication, maintenance, repair and disposal of mobile equipment.
• Must possess a valid class C driver's license.

Requirements

Requires possession of a valid driver’s license when operating a state-owned or leased vehicle. Subject to the Post & Bid process.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include possession of a valid driver’s license, and the ability to meet the requirements of the Equipment Materiel Specialist exam.
