Responsibilities
- Investigations: Collects relevant facts related to reported allegations of discrimination, assesses necessary protective measures, documents findings, develops unbiased reports, analyzes conclusions, maintains confidentiality, and ensures timely communication.
- Education & Training: Keeps informed of legal developments, develops and facilitates training programs on Title IX policies, and participates in orientation programming.
- Other Duties: Performs additional tasks as directed by supervisor.
- Demonstrated experience conducting investigations, managing confidential information, and managing a significant caseload.
- Background and training in conducting sensitive and confidential investigations.
- Knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to discrimination and harassment.
- Tact, maturity, strong interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
- Discretion, judgment, neutrality in handling sensitive investigations.
- Sensitivity to diverse communities and interactions.
- Advanced degree in related fields preferred.
- Three to five years relevant work experience, including at least two years of recent, substantive work experience with Title IX investigations or similar settings.
- Bachelor's Degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration, Law Enforcement, Criminology, Social Work, Psychology, or related field required.
- Advanced degree in related fields preferred.
