About the Role

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine seeks a board-certified/eligible Neurologist with fellowship training in Epilepsy and/or Clinical Neurophysiology (epilepsy track) to join the Department of Neurology. The position offers an appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor level, dependent on qualifications.

Join a department of 37 full-time physicians and 19 advanced practice providers within a NAEC Level 4 Comprehensive Epilepsy Center featuring an ABRET accredited EEG Lab. The role includes participation in medical student, resident, and fellow education, as well as robust research opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients, including pharmacological management of epilepsy
• Perform video-EEG monitoring, intracranial monitoring, and neurostimulation
• Develop a focus area such as the surgical epilepsy program, intra-operative monitoring, continuous EEG monitoring, or outpatient epilepsy
• Collaborate with fellowship-trained epileptologists and epilepsy neurosurgeons
• Participate in medical education for students, residents, and fellows
• Engage in research opportunities

Requirements

• M.D., M.D./Ph.D., D.O., or equivalent degree
• Board-certified/eligible in Neurology with completion of an Epilepsy and/or Clinical Neurophysiology (epilepsy track) fellowship
• Board-certified/eligible in Epilepsy preferred
• Clinical expertise in epilepsy
• Ability to acquire a license to practice in Pennsylvania
• Valid federal and state narcotics certificates
