About the Position

The physician’s primary focus will be on epilepsy, with opportunities to manage and treat a diverse range of patients. On-call responsibilities are shared among the neurologists, which provides a balanced lifestyle in addition to the support of Advanced Practice Providers. Full access to our EMU for comprehensive patient monitoring and EEG interpretation as well as a fully integrated Epic EMR.

Join our team during an exciting time as we actively build our epilepsy surgery program; collaborate closely with our highly trained functional neurosurgeons to offer advanced surgical options for patients. Saint Luke’s Hospital is the primary teaching hospital for the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) Medical School; opportunity for academic appointment through UMKC, commensurate with level of experience.

The neurology residency program provides 12 residents educational opportunities in all of the Neuroscience Institute’s comprehensive treatment centers. Abundance of research opportunities and track record of success; possibility for start-up funding for motivated candidates.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be BC/BE, have successfully completed a Neurology residency program, and must have completed or be in the process of completing an Epilepsy fellowship.
  • This position cannot currently support Visa candidates.
