Epic Willow Analyst - Information Technology (Remote)
About the role
Willow Analysts are the primary support contact for the Epic Willow Application. They coordinate issues that arise for their application area and must be knowledgeable about the organization's policies, procedures, quality standards, and business operations. Familiarity with a healthcare organization's Pharmacy Department workflows, regulatory requirements, and patient experiences—as well as understanding a wide array of integration points—is required.
Willow Analysts assess the urgency and seriousness of calls, serve as a liaison between technical staff and a variety of customers, and escalate issues appropriately to ensure resolution. Depending on operational, business, or project needs, the analyst may temporarily perform duties outside the defined job description.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary support contact for the Epic Willow Application.
- Coordinate and resolve issues related to the application area.
- Apply knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, quality standards, and business operations.
- Understand and support Pharmacy Department workflows, regulatory requirements, and patient experiences.
- Assess the urgency and seriousness of support calls and escalate as needed.
- Act as a liaison between technical staff and customers to resolve issues.
- Perform additional duties outside the job description on a temporary basis as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Three years of related experience.
- Working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.
Qualifications
- Current Epic certification(s) or accreditation in the area of support is preferred. Epic certification in other areas may be considered initially.
- If Epic certification(s) in the area of support has not been obtained or has lapsed, certification must be achieved within the first 90 days of employment.
- Epic certification(s) in the area of support must be kept current, including completing NVT (new version training) and re-certification as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Additional Epic Certifications, Accreditations, or Badges are preferred but not required.
- Analyst level and role-specific qualifications outlined in the Information Technology Analyst Ladder policy.
