About the role
The Application Analyst II position at United Health Services (UHS) is responsible for identifying, evaluating, analyzing, and recommending changes to support assigned applications and systems. This role supports the full system lifecycle, including planning, design, development, build, and configuration, while providing ongoing production maintenance and advanced troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Maintain certification in primary EHR module (if applicable) and demonstrate proficiency across multiple applications.
- Independently lead workflow demonstrations and functional presentations for users and stakeholders.
- Perform advanced system configuration, build, and troubleshooting with minimal supervision.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned applications and project initiatives.
- Act as a mentor and resource to Application Analyst I staff, supporting decision-making and prioritization.
- Manage and resolve complex tickets across multiple modules, ensuring timely and accurate solutions.
- Lead end-user training sessions and cross-functional meetings, including collaboration with IT and help desk teams.
- Develop strong understanding of cross-functional systems, workflows, and upstream/downstream impacts.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and interface teams to resolve issues and implement solutions.
- Analyze business needs and present solution options with clear risks, benefits, and recommendations.
- Solve complex, cross-team problems and communicate new workflows effectively to stakeholders.
- Facilitate meetings, drive action items to completion, and lead team activities such as huddles or initiatives.
- Serve as a go-to resource for vendor updates, upgrades, and change management activities.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team performance and system efficiency.
- Foster collaboration by supporting peers, sharing knowledge, and prioritizing team and organizational success.
Qualifications
- Minimum Required: Two to three (2-3) years of healthcare operations (clinical, patient care, administrative or revenue cycle), information technology or health information technology experience.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (information technology or clinical/healthcare fields).
- Preferred: Current Epic certification(s).
