About The Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Epic Willow Ambulatory Analyst to join our Healthcare IT team. This role serves as a subject matter expert (SME) and technical lead for outpatient, retail, and specialty pharmacy workflows within the Epic EHR platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for Epic Willow Ambulatory workflows, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Manage and prioritize daily application support activities, ensuring incidents and service requests are resolved within defined SLAs
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve application issues related to eRx, refills, prior authorizations, POS workflows, and device integrations
  • Partner with clinical and operational stakeholders to translate pharmacy needs into effective Epic solutions
  • Configure, build, and optimize Epic Willow Ambulatory modules to support outpatient and specialty pharmacy operations
  • Support system design, testing, go-live readiness, and post-implementation stabilization activities
  • Maintain accurate system documentation, build specifications, workflows, and testing artifacts
  • Support multi-site implementations, workflow scaling, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Pharmacy, or a related field OR equivalent relevant work experience
  • Active and current Epic Willow Ambulatory certification required; certification must be maintained throughout the engagement
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience supporting Epic applications in a healthcare IT environment
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Epic Willow Ambulatory configuration, build, and support
  • Experience supporting ambulatory pharmacy workflows, including medication ordering, dispensing, inventory, and POS processes
  • Proven experience managing day-to-day EHR application support, including incident resolution and SLA adherence
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clinical stakeholders, including pharmacists, nurses, and physicians

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional Epic certifications such as Willow Inpatient, Home Infusion, Bugsy, or related Epic modules
  • Experience working with Surescripts interfaces, error queues, and electronic prescribing workflows
  • Familiarity with 340B billing, pharmacy benefits administration, and pharmacy revenue cycle processes
  • Prior experience working with offshore or distributed support teams
  • Background in healthcare IT consulting or large, complex health system environments
  • Experience developing system documentation, testing artifacts, and end-user training materials
