Epic Security Analyst

FTE: 1.0 | Full Time | 1st Shift - Days - Pacific Standard Time. This is a remote position requiring reliable broadband internet and personal cell phone service. Remote work includes day-to-day operations during Pacific Standard business hours or online training. This position will participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for a week at a time, beginning once the staff member and Team Lead determine the necessary skill level has been achieved.

About the role

The Epic Analyst designs, analyzes, develops, tests, implements, and/or provides tier two technical assistance for assigned system applications. This role consults with Epic representatives, application coordinators, supervisors, and end users to configure and build Epic software and applications to meet organizational and client needs. Responsibilities include troubleshooting problems, offering solutions, and recommending courses of action to address end-user issues and achieve client or hospital specifications. The position also involves developing and modifying procedures to solve complex data processing problems and preparing detailed specifications for program development.

This position is for the Epic Security Team reporting to Clinical Informatics, and prior experience is desired. Candidates must take and pass a proprietary assessment developed by Epic Systems Corporation unless already Epic Certified in a clinical build application.

Qualifications

Education

• Associate degree or equivalent required for the Epic Analyst level.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent in education and/or experience, required for the Senior Analyst level.

Experience

• At least 2 years of direct Epic application build experience, with a proven ability to analyze processes, solve problems, and contribute to system improvements, required for the Analyst level.
• At least 5 years of collective experience as an Epic Associate Analyst and/or Epic Analyst, with a proven ability to analyze processes, solve problems, and contribute to system improvements, required for the Senior Analyst level.
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.

Certifications

• Epic Analyst: Required to obtain Epic Proficiency, Accreditation, or Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Senior Analyst: Required to hold at least two Epic Certifications/Accreditations/Proficiencies across applications.
• Annual Epic recertification requirements must be completed (all levels).

Pay

• Epic Analyst: $76,523.20 - $105,237.60 annually
• Senior Epic Analyst: $90,084.80 - $123,874.40 annually
