What will you be doing in this role
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and success of the software application/systems training program.
- Mastery of at least one module of the greater application and all specific workflows for the business unit to which they are assigned.
- Develop and implement the training program.
- Build, test, and maintain a well-designed training environment for their application.
- Incorporate updates and new software releases into the training environment.
- Communicate changes to their business units and provide update training.
- Guide the work of Trainers and Associate Trainers, as directed by the Lead Trainer.
- Work with project managers, applications managers, applications specialists, and subject matter experts to develop, validate, and update training materials.
- Review, edit, and approve any curricula or other materials developed by trainers.
- Develop application-specific and cross-application training environment requirements.
- Build, configure, and test the training environment to mirror the production environment system, including the inclusion of upgrades, fixes, and new releases.
- Develop and execute appropriate success criteria and measures for training.
- Develop post implementation/upgrade training optimization plans.
- Coordinate the appropriate level of training for business unit managers and end-users.
- Affirm application training at agreed upon service levels and costs.
- Participate in the development of policies and procedures for all areas of training responsibility.
- Provide mentoring to Associate Trainers and Trainers.
- Manage and complete all project tasks and requirements within timelines as assigned by the Lead Trainer and Training Manager.
Qualifications
- Three (3) plus years of experience in Epic Inpatient systems training and curriculum development. (preferred 5 plus years of experience in Orders, ClinDoc and/or Inpatient Willow)
- eLearning course design and development.
- Learning management system administration experience in healthcare or related medical training experience preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Medical Informatics, Instructional Technology, Communication, Education, or related field.
- Epic Certification required. (Orders, ClinDoc and/or Inpatient Willow certification preferred).
