Manager - Epic Inpatient Orders (Remote Available)
About the role
The Epic Inpatient Orders Team Manager leads a team of analysts and contractors, managing projects and overseeing implementations at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC). The role includes leading the Provider workstream for the Clarksville Hospital Go-Live and future implementations.
Responsibilities
- Managing IT staff by recruiting, training, and assigning projects/tasks
- Maintaining alignment with mission and strategic plan
- Ensuring staff compliance with budgets, resource allocation, operational plans, and policies
- Ensuring projects stay on track and regularly communicating status to department leadership and business/operational leaders
- Regularly reviewing/implementing advances in technology and industry best practices
- Aiding in the preparation of operating and capital budgets
Requirements
- Prior management experience (preferred)
- Epic Inpatient Orders certification (required)
- Bachelor's degree (required)

The Health IT department at Vanderbilt University Medical Center provides the best health information technology tools that support the medical center's mission.
