Summary
Executes EHR (Epic) specific education, support, and user analysis for Parkview Health and Connect Clients in various healthcare settings, ensuring consistent documentation standards. Acts as a liaison on behalf of provider/clinical EHR users.
Responsibilities
- Provides hospital and physician-based practice support.
- Collaborates with end users to identify opportunities for improvement in application functionality or workflow processes related to the Electronic Health Record.
- Works directly with Epic Instructional Designers to coordinate education needs, feedback, and facilitate education to end users.
- Performs Instructional Design duties by evaluating, adapting, and developing instruction based on learner needs.
- Exhibits a learning approach in achieving knowledge proficiency in Epic from a functional perspective, while implementing ongoing tactics for knowledge sustainment.
- Consistently utilizes critical thinking and analytic abilities in seeking and resolving issues.
- Communicates effectively with technical teams, operational leaders, and end users.
- Able to perform basic Epic build functionality, including login block restrictions and user customization.
- Works flexible hours and travels to various organizational locations to meet the needs of the user community.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience, 5 years preferred, in education, healthcare or other comparable position.
- Minimum Associate’s degree in healthcare, education, information technology, or related field. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Epic Credentialing Status obtained in 1 application, within 2 months of hire. Status must remain up-to-date.
- Must remain current with all versions of the electronic health record.
- Valid Driver's license required.
