Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and manage Epic Hyperspace, Epic-specific print services, Interconnect, and related client system components
- Monitor and maintain system performance, availability, and security of Epic applications
- Support Citrix, VMware, or other virtual delivery platforms used to provide Epic access
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Epic client applications, end user access, and environment stability
- Collaborate with technical teams, application analysts, and vendors to support upgrades, patches, and new releases
- Create and maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, and configuration records
- Manage and maintain Epic print services, including deployment and troubleshooting of printers within Epic
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing
- Provide on-call support as needed for production issues
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and security requirements
Requirements
- Certifications: Epic Client Systems Administrator certification
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience: Supporting Epic client applications and infrastructure
- Familiarity: With Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy
- Experience: With Citrix, VMware, or similar virtualization technologies
- Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills for application and system performance issues, Understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, and load balancing
- Preferred Skills: Experience with healthcare IT systems and workflows, Knowledge of scripting and automation (PowerShell, VBScript, etc.), Prior experience in large enterprise environments with 24/7 clinical operations
