About the role
The Epic Certified Beacon Consultant and Epic Beacon Applications Coordinator positions at Accenture involve managing day-to-day operations, client stakeholder relationships, and complex oncology workflows within the Epic Beacon application. These roles require both technical proficiency and excellent communication skills to support the delivery of high-quality solutions in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for inpatient and outpatient oncology and research workflows and configurations.
- Support teams working on other, non-Epic oncology, radiation oncology, and research systems.
- Manage Beacon protocol build for new protocols and modifications to existing protocols, including validation with clinical and operational stakeholders.
- Prioritize daily support and maintenance activities, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests per defined SLAs.
- Serve as a liaison with client stakeholders, ensuring alignment of system capabilities with business needs.
- Lead and coordinate with offshore support teams, ensuring effective communication, task delegation, and performance monitoring.
- Maintain system documentation, including workflows, build specifications, and testing protocols.
- Monitor and support accurate ServiceNow/ITIL documentation for all Beacon-related Incidents and Catalog Tasks.
- Collaborate with non-oncology teams inside the organization to transition work or complete cross-functional tasks as needed.
- Take on-call rotations for critical incidents, including some weekend on-call rotations.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, data governance, and organizational security policies.
- Participate in regular team meetings, providing updates on ongoing work, potential risks, and resource needs.
Qualifications
- A minimum of three years of experience in Healthcare IT as Beacon Analyst.
- Current Epic Beacon Certification.
- A high school diploma or GED.
