About the role

The Epic Beacon/Ambulatory Analyst is dedicated to Epic Beacon (oncology) application support, focusing on Beacon and Ambulatory crossover to ensure consistent and smooth integration across clinical workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Support, optimize, and troubleshoot shared workflows where Beacon and Ambulatory processes intersect.
  • Review and implement Epic version updates and upgrades pertinent to oncology and Beacon/Ambulatory workflows, ensuring release readiness.
  • Translate clinical and operational needs into effective Epic functionality.
  • Provide problem management and incident resolution.
  • Participate in end-user training.
  • Involvement in larger optimization and strategic initiatives led by a senior analyst.
  • Closely work with other analysts and clinical and operational leaders to advance system integration and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Seven (7) years of related experience, education/training, or a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus three (3) years of related experience/training.
  • Epic build and configuration experience.
  • Proven success in information systems implementation, development, and support within a large-scale healthcare organization.
  • Strong problem-resolution skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose problems and develop, test, and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with users of clinical information systems.
  • Detailed organizational skills and the ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with senior staff and managers, providing technical advice and counsel on functionality, efficiency, and performance.
  • Knowledge of oncology, infusion, and ambulatory clinical operations and workflows.
  • Experience supporting oncology, infusion, BMT, or apheresis workflows within Epic Beacon and integrated Ambulatory processes.
  • Experience as a major participant in a clinical system implementation.

Qualifications

  • Epic Beacon Certification — preferred at hire or required within 120 days of hire, per Epic credentialing requirements.
  • EpicCare Ambulatory Certification.
  • Additional Epic module certifications or badges relevant to oncology or ambulatory workflows.

Skills

Strong analytical skills, knowledge in documentation and reporting, ability to design and execute tests, analyze system performance data, and produce substantive reports and analyses.
