EP Lab Technologist Lead
About the role
As an Electrophysiology Technologist Lead at Portsmouth Regional Hospital, you will provide technical assistance and collaborate with nurses and physicians to prepare patients and perform electrophysiology procedures, including ablations and implants. This role involves serving as a scrub assistant to the electrophysiologist, managing digital X-ray image acquisition and post-processing, monitoring patients, documenting procedures, and providing pre- and post-procedural care.
You will also prepare patients in collaboration with licensed nurses, monitor patient conditions throughout procedures, recover patients post-procedure, charge for procedures and supplies, collect procedural data for reports and lectures, and actively participate in department process improvement efforts.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a scrub assistant to the electrophysiologist during procedures.
- Perform digital X-ray image acquisition and post-processing.
- Monitor patients and document procedures.
- Provide pre- and post-procedural care in collaboration with licensed nurses.
- Charge for procedures and supply items upon completion.
- Collect procedural data for reports, lectures, and other uses.
- Actively participate in department process improvement efforts.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Registered Radiology Technician (RT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
- Associate Degree.
- 3-7 years of experience.
