EP Lab Technologist

About the role

The EP Lab Technologist supports the Electrophysiology and Cardiac Catheterization Lab team at UHS Wilson Medical Center. This position requires technical and clinical support for various cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supports catheterizations, angioplasty, structural heart procedures, peripheral angiography and angioplasty, temp pacemaker insertion, and LV assist device insertions.
• Operates advanced imaging equipment and ensures adherence to safety standards and radiation safety practices.
• Instructs students and residents and performs preceptor duties when necessary.
• Maintains supply inventory for all Cath Lab procedures.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of UHS information systems and coding procedures for accurate billing.
• Learns new techniques and technology through lectures, seminars, and educational readings.

Requirements

Minimum Required:

• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology
• Two (2) years of experience in full services hospital as a Radiologic Technologist

Preferred:

• Previous experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a Cardiac Cath Lab

Qualifications

Minimum Required:

• New York State license as Radiologic Technologist

Strong technical skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills are essential.

$37.00 - $55.50 per hour, depending on experience.
