About the role

Serves as an Electrophysiology Technician, assisting in patient care through procedures. Directly involved in assisting with EP procedures and the development of protocols. Cross-trains cath lab staff to EP procedures to achieve a level of comfort and meet developed competencies. Responsible for recognizing all pressure forms and hemodynamic parameters recorded. Utilizes supplies and equipment with efficiency. Assesses the physiological and psychological needs of each patient admitted to the CVL holding area. Documents all appropriate information in a complete, concise, neat, and accurate manner. Effectively achieves hemostasis causing minimum discomfort and bleeding.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology or graduate of a degree-granting program in a health science (e.g., ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, nursing, or paramedic) with a current certification or registration
  • Experience working in the Cath Lab as a Technician
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Current certification as a Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
