About the role

The Environmental Supervisor oversees a team of environmental professionals responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations. This role involves coordinating daily environmental activities across multiple facilities, implementing corporate EHS&T directives, and maintaining regulatory reporting requirements. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying improvement opportunities and managing external contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise environmental team members to maintain compliance across assigned facilities.
  • Coordinate daily operational environmental activities and ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Oversee preparation and submission of environmental reports such as 30 TAC, Title V, NSPS, NESHAP, MACT, and CEMs.
  • Ensure all assets are inspection-ready for agency inspections and respond to inquiries.
  • Manage emergency response efforts related to spills, releases, and other environmental incidents.
  • Support internal communication of environmental best practices and assist in implementing corporate directives.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to identify and investigate improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee environmental contractors, ensuring deliverables meet compliance standards.
  • Attend agency inspections and liaise with regulatory agencies as required.
  • Provide input to improve procedures and practices for environmental compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in environmental compliance within midstream oil and gas, petrochemical, or refinery industries, with a focus on air regulations.
  • Working knowledge of equipment such as distillation units, reactors, natural gas liquids fractionation, flares, engines, turbines, cooling towers, storage tanks, and CEMS.
  • Strong understanding of Federal and Texas environmental compliance requirements, including nonattainment regulations.
  • Knowledge of air permitting processes such as Title V, NSR, NNSR, PSD, and minor source permits.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of interacting effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to work on-site.

Pay

$160,000.00 – $165,000.00 annually

Schedule

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
