Environmental Specialist

Summary

Mortenson is seeking an Environmental Specialist to support environmental management efforts for various projects throughout North America.

Responsibilities

- Implement Mortenson’s environmental program for project sites. - Develop and review environmental plans and submittals. - Attend preconstruction and preparatory meetings. - Ensure compliance with environmental regulations. - Lead environmental orientation and training programs. - Monitor and inspect environmental mitigation measures. - Collaborate with customers on regulatory reporting. - Maintain operational knowledge of environmental issues.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Geology, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Biology, or related field. - Minimum of four years related experience. - Experience with erosion prevention, storm water pollution prevention, wetlands, and endangered species. - Strong understanding of relevant laws, policies, and procedures. - Self-directed, collaborative, and able to interact with consultants and agencies. - Proficient in PC, tablets, and software like Excel, MS Word.

Pay and Schedule

The base pay range is $89,500 - $120,800, with a 5-10% increase for certain locations. Position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
