Environmental Services Technician Lead - Advocate/Atrium Health Union West - 1st Shift

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily staff duties and assignments in the department, evaluating conditions and cleanliness through inspection and quality control measures, coordinating staff training, and managing physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily staff duties and assignments in the department, ensuring completion that meets set standards.
• Evaluates conditions and cleanliness through inspection and quality control measures.
• Captures and coordinates staff training in proper use of chemicals, equipment processes, and safety issues.
• Manages physical requirements, including continuous walking and standing, with potential for bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Manages staff in the absence of the department supervisor, managing daily duties and advising corrective action as needed.
• Manages physical abilities through a required physical ability test as a condition of employment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a housekeeper aide or similar job.
• Capable of working independently.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions and complete written forms.

• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development.
• Respects and demonstrates competency appropriate to the ages, cultures, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.

Skills

• Knowledge of environmental services procedures and practices.
• Ability to manage staff effectively and independently.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring continuous walking, standing, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

$20.80 - $31.20 per hour.
