Environmental Services Technician - Advocate/Atrium Health Union West - 1st Shift Full-Time

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing complete cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting and sanitizing furniture, washing windows, sweeping, scrubbing, refinishing floors, vacuuming, shampooing carpet, re-stocking restrooms, replacing light bulbs, reporting repairs, removing waste, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas
• Dusts and sanitizes furniture, equipment, mirrors and fixtures
• Washes windows, walls, ceilings, vents and light fixtures
• Sweeps, scrubs and refinishes floors
• Vacuuming and shampooing carpet
• Re-stocking restrooms
• Replacing light bulbs
• Reporting repairs
• Maintains safe working environment
• Provides quality service by complying with procedures, rules and regulations, infection control guidelines, and meeting departmental quality standards
• Attends all required in-service education and training classes including safety update programs to maintain technical knowledge
• Consistently demonstrates the ability to meet time schedules and deadlines

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• One year experience preferred
• Can prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner
• Can operate equipment
• Can establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers

Qualifications

• Heavy contact with cleaning chemicals, disinfecting agents, floor strippers and finishes
• Works in contaminated, isolation, construction and renovation areas
• Occasionally works in extreme temperatures and around unpleasant smells
• Exposure to individuals with various degrees of mental, physical conditions and illnesses

Skills

• Ability to meet time schedules and deadlines
• Operate cleaning equipment
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships

Pay

$18.85 - $28.30 per hour
