About the role

The Environmental Service Partner will maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary environment in a professional and courteous manner. This role requires performing cleaning tasks, replenishing supplies, transporting/disposing of waste and soiled materials, and operating basic safety and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in assigned areas of the hospital.
  • Replenish supplies and other dispensable items as needed.
  • Transport and dispose of waste and soiled materials.
  • Operate vacuum sweepers, trash carts, trash compactors, industrial washers and dryers, electric beds, and flat bed carts.
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and State Board of Health standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, family, and staff.
  • Perform cleaning tasks as required to provide high-quality care.
  • Lift, bend, push, and pull as necessary, standing and/or walking approximately eight hours a day.
  • See well with correction at a distance of at least 20 feet and up close.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
  • No license required.
  • Basic safety and equipment operation/maintenance skills.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Confidentiality and privacy awareness.
  • Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull as required.
  • Standing and/or walking approximately eight hours a day.
  • No lifting restrictions.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to provide service to others in a courteous manner.
  • Foster teamwork with peers and other hospital staff.
  • Basic safety and equipment operation/maintenance skills.
  • English language proficiency for effective communication.
  • Confidentiality and privacy awareness.
  • Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull as required.
  • Standing and/or walking approximately eight hours a day.
  • No lifting restrictions.
