Environmental Services-Housekeeping
Join Trinity Health in Grand Rapids – Environmental Services Opportunities. We are seeking motivated individuals to join our Environmental Services team. No previous healthcare housekeeping experience is required—we provide paid on-the-job training.
About the role
As an Environmental Services Technician, you'll help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and colleagues by performing a variety of cleaning and support tasks throughout the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning patient rooms, clinical areas, offices, and public spaces
- Performing wall, stairwell, and elevator cleaning
- Completing room turnover and discharge cleaning
- Removing and rehanging curtains
- Responding to service requests throughout the hospital
- Operating floor-care equipment and performing restorative floor care
- Transporting beds throughout the facility
- Using pagers and phone systems to support daily operations
Requirements
- A commitment to treating patients, visitors, and coworkers with courtesy and compassion
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and workloads
- Customer service experience or housekeeping/environmental services experience is preferred but not required
- High school diploma or GED is not required
Schedule
Full-time and part-time opportunities with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts available based on business needs and availability.
