Position Summary

Provides a clean and safe work environment for patients, visitors, hospital staff and self. Cleans patient care, public, clinical, and office areas using chemicals and manual/electrical floor care equipment.

What You Will Do

• Wall cleaning
• Stairwell and elevator cleaning
• Curtain removal/re-hanging
• Response to service calls
• Variety of restorative floor care tasks
• Basic functions of a pager and phone system
• Room turnover including daily and check-out cleaning
• Retrieving and transporting beds to rooms

What You Will Need

• Treatment of each patient, visitor, and employee in a courteous and compassionate manner
• Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions
• Ability to adjust to changing conditions and varied workloads
• Preferred: Customer service training or environmental services experience in hotel, recreation, or healthcare housekeeping industry
• High School diploma or GED not required
