About the Role
As a Housekeeping Aide at American Senior Communities, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe, sanitary, comfortable, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and the public. You will provide essential cleaning services that contribute to the overall well-being and comfort of those in our care.
Responsibilities
- Cleans assigned resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily and according to facility policy while maintaining resident's privacy at all times.
- Posts signs indicating a safety hazard anytime housekeeping activities pose environmental hazards to staff, residents, visitors, or others in the facility.
- Washes beds and mattresses and remakes beds after discharge of residents.
- Keeps utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition.
- Uses personal protective equipment when at risk of exposure to blood or other potentially hazardous body fluids and all other times indicated by facility policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Provides cleaning services in accordance with facility policies and procedures and consistent with state and federal laws and regulations.
- Knocks and announces before entering any resident room.
- Removes signs indicating a safety hazard when housekeeping activities no longer pose environmental hazards.
- Does not wash beds and mattresses or remake beds after discharge of residents.
- Does not keep utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition.
- Does not use personal protective equipment when not at risk of exposure to blood or other potentially hazardous body fluids and all other times.
Qualifications
While not specified, candidates should possess strong physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
Skills
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow directions are essential. Proficiency in using cleaning supplies and equipment is also required.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is typically Monday through Friday, with hours varying based on the needs of the community.
