Responsibilities

• Clean client rooms, nursing units, special care units, nursing stations, lounges, lavatories, bathrooms, offices, and all other assigned areas in accordance with maintaining a clean, infection-controlled environment (ages served range from newborn to adult).
• Use the correct cleaning chemicals for the surface being cleaned to prevent permanent damage to all fixtures and equipment.
• Handle any patients' valuables or health system property with caution when moving items to clean areas.
• Assist with patient care as needed.
• Understand and perform unit-specific or special cleaning procedures, including cleaning isolation areas.

Requirements

• Housekeeping experience is preferred.
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematics skills (typically acquired through elementary-level education) to measure and prepare cleaning compounds, read directions, and apply cleaning chemicals safely.
• Manual dexterity.
• Comfort operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
• Personal presence characterized by honesty, integrity, and caring, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, and vision of Trinity Health.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Schedule

Every other weekend 7:00 am - 3:30 pm; one evening shift during the week 3:30 pm - 12:00 am as needed.
