Job Duties
This position is responsible for maintaining hospital facilities in a clean, sanitary, orderly, and visually appealing condition. The role supports a safe and comfortable environment for patient care and ensures that hospital staff have a well-maintained workspace in which to perform their duties.
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of effective cleaning methods and procedures, including the proper use of chemicals, equipment, and supplies commonly utilized in a health care environment
- Understanding of safety practices related to housekeeping duties
- Skill in operating both manual and powered cleaning equipment
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to adhere to established schedules
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Ability to carry out cleaning and housekeeping responsibilities in patient-occupied areas
Additional Considerations
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting
