Environmental Service Manager I

Essential Functions

• Organize, supervise, and control the daily operations of the Environmental Services Department under the direction of the COO
• Ensure compliance with CMS regulations and maintain EVS Policy and Procedures
• Hold staff accountable for performance and motivate them to maintain the department's operations while upholding the hospital's mission
• Support cultural diversity within the hospital, ensuring quality, equitable, and culturally competent patient-centered care is delivered
• Promote and maintain an inclusive work environment that respects and accepts diversity
• Ensure cultural diversity and sensitivity training is integrated into new employee orientation and remains ongoing
• Work independently without supervision and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner
• Work with Infection Control to ensure cleaning standards are being met
• Attend and give a report in the Infection Control Meeting (Quarterly Linen Culture Report)
• Attend and give a report in the EOC Meeting (Monthly Hazardous Waste Report)
• Attend Patient Services Leadership Meeting
• Attend Department Director’s Meeting
• Attend PI Task Force monthly (Report Quarterly APIE Room Cleanliness Score)

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies
• Capacity to withstand prolonged periods of standing and walking
