Environmental Remediation Associate Level Engineer

About the role

The successful candidate must be willing to onsite at one of EnSafe's Florida offices. Relocation assistance is available to meet this expectation.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting remedial and process engineering projects and teams to fill data gaps, design, construct, operate, and optimize systems.
  • Planning and performing assessments, pilot tests, construction oversight, and remedying O&M.
  • Evaluating data from aquifer tests, pilot studies, bench testing, sampling events, and modeling to develop remedial strategies.
  • Preparing design basis, technology feasibility analyses and selection, and design plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Communicating with regulatory personnel and permitting agencies to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable regulations.
  • Preparing proposals, cost estimates, and long-term projections for remediation projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited college in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
  • 4-8 years of relevant experience required.
  • P.E. preferred, EIT required.
  • Strong knowledge of FDEP, CERCLA, RCRA, and other environmental regulations, legislation, and SOPs.
  • Hands-on experience with remediation technologies and O&M for soil, groundwater, stormwater, industrial wastewater, and air for a wide range of contaminants.
  • Experience with remedial system instrumentation and controls, and remote telemetry is a plus.
  • Strong consulting, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel overnight.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred P.E., required EIT.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and legislation.
  • Hands-on experience with remediation technologies and O&M.
  • Experience with instrumentation and controls, and remote telemetry.
  • Strong consulting, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel overnight.
