Associate Environmental Engineer

Summary Of Responsibilities

• Interpret environmental regulations and determine impact on the facility.
• Develop and implement environmental strategies, plans, and procedures.
• Aid with environmental projects and provide technical direction to plant departments.
• Aid in the development and implementation of corrective action plans.
• Prepare appropriate internal and external reports and timely submit utilizing proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, as well as various internal computerized systems.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and procedures.
• Participate in environmental-related investigations.
• Communicate environmental information.
• Maintain environmental records, including OSHA recordkeeping.
• Aid in the development of emergency response plans.
• Update training data, manuals, and reference materials.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental-related field.
• Willingness to walk/climb throughout all mill areas.
• Willingness to work at heights.

Preferred Qualifications

• Mechanical or steel industry experience.
