About the role

Join a dynamic environmental consulting firm as an Environmental Project Manager, where you will play a crucial role in conducting field investigations, managing projects, and building client relationships. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow into senior project management roles while working on diverse and technically challenging projects across various sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental field investigations and assessments, including groundwater and soil sampling, drilling oversight, and Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments.
  • Coordinate and manage project scopes, budgets, and vendor relationships for up to 20 active projects.
  • Prepare scopes of work, cost estimates, and basic technical reports.
  • Lead and execute field investigations and sampling activities.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and internal QA/QC standards.
  • Participate in client meetings and contribute to proposal development.
  • Support and independently manage smaller-to-mid-size environmental projects, including coordination of field activities, subcontractors, and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, engineering, or related field.
  • 4–8 years of environmental consulting experience, including at least 1 year in project coordination or junior PM roles.
  • Extensive field experience (approximately 80% of the role), including groundwater and soil sampling, drilling oversight, and Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments.
  • Strong project coordination, budgeting, and vendor management skills.
  • Basic technical understanding of site investigation, remediation, and environmental data interpretation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in environmental science, geology, or engineering is preferred.
  • Certifications such as PG, PE are considered a plus.
  • Experience with human health risk assessment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with client sectors such as oil companies, municipalities, and private sector clients.
  • Business development mindset and ability to identify new opportunities.

  • Work primarily in a beautiful office environment located in Orange, CA, with field work conducted across the US.
  • Enjoy a flexible work schedule from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, with minimal travel required.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $180000.00 per year.
