Mid-Level Project Manager

About the role

This is an intermediate level professional position. The Mid Level Project Manager will work under general direction of middle or senior level management. This person is responsible for the management of one or more medium to large-sized, simple to moderately complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Manages one or more cross-functional projects of medium to high complexity.
• Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting and stability of project-oriented work efforts.
• Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the IT community to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations.
• Assembles project plans and teamwork assignments, directs and monitors work efforts on a daily basis, identifies resource needs, performs quality review, and escalates functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately.
• Tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.
• Collaborates with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed.
• Aids Program Manager(s) in partnering with senior management of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise.
• Mentors project analysts.

Qualifications

• Must possess broad knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques.
• 3 or more years of IT work experience.
• 1 or more years managing projects.
• Experience with projects in one or more technologies and multiple functions.
• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related discipline. (Or equivalent work experience.)
• Project Management certification is preferred.
