Environmental Manager

Responsibilities

• Partner with the client and MV Transportation as contracted to ensure municipal, state, and federal regulatory requirements are met.
• Implement a comprehensive Environmental Management Program (EMP) and Environmental Management System (EMS).
• Track updates to federal, state, and local legislation, including new regulations and requirements.
• Manage all aspects of compliance and ensure that environmental standards are being followed daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Prepare reports on compliance and environmental standards for internal/external distribution.

Qualifications

• Adequate environmental training and at least three years of environmental experience and training in air quality management, underground storage tank management and monitoring, hazardous materials management, and stormwater and water pollution control management.
• Registered Environmental Manager Certificate (REM) required.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations required.
• Experience with environmental sustainability or related field preferred.
• Ability to prepare budgets and conduct cost-benefit analysis.
• Analyze the cost/benefit of implementing projected sustainability measures.
• Prepare reports for internal and external distribution.
• Maintain and monitor the sustainability program to ensure the company is accomplishing environmental objectives.
• Good verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with PPT proficiency required.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong technical expertise.
• Superior time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Transit experience a plus.
