Environmental Manager
About the role
The Environmental Manager at Element Resources is responsible for managing environmental programs and activities for the smelter facility. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with environmental permits and applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
Work Location
Element Resources is located in Forest City, Missouri, a small town of about 250 people. Nearby, St. Joseph offers 13 distinctive area museums, 12 annual festivals, amazing architecture listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and the Kansas City Chiefs Summer Training Camp. Outdoor recreation is abundant with 48 parks, 26 miles of beautiful Parkway, outdoor concerts, and an arts culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences or Environmental Management
- At least 10 years experience in environmental management with a working knowledge of manufacturing processes and their impact on the environment
- Previous experience and working knowledge of regulations under: Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)
- Heavy industrial experience a plus
Qualifications
- Able to perform continuous walking, standing, and lifting
- Equipment used: PC with various software, office equipment
- Personal protective equipment as required
