The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager I is responsible for technical, functional and program management for a business unit (fixed facility location/plant). The EHS Manager I collaborates with the site level leadership, management, supervisory, and employee teams to drive safety culture. Champions implementation of effective strategies and tactics associated with safety, health, and environmental programs and initiatives. Plans, directs, and provides advanced technical and professional environmental & safety support services to site.
Responsibilities
- Possess a thorough understanding of local/regional regulations and company policies.
- Measure safety performance against site safety KPIs.
- Identify a plan for the site to implement and fix all identified deficiencies.
- Ensure safety recordkeeping and data integrity and provides site with accurate reporting and metrics to support business safety initiatives.
