Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager
Safety & Regulatory Compliance
Drive a proactive, behavior-based safety culture where safety comes before production.
Lead safety programs, audits, investigations, and corrective actions.
Develop and deliver safety training, onboarding, and continuous education programs.
Maintain OSHA logs (300, 301, etc.) and ensure compliance with all regulatory updates.
Coach leaders and employees to improve safety awareness, engagement, and accountability.
Build and lead safety committees and cross-functional teams.
Environmental Programs
Lead all environmental compliance efforts including air, wastewater, stormwater, and waste programs.
Manage permits, reporting, and regulatory submissions with state and federal agencies.
Analyze environmental data (emissions, water, soil, etc.) and identify improvement opportunities.
Partner with engineering and operations on environmental projects and pollution reduction initiatives.
Serve as the primary point of contact with regulatory agencies and external partners.
Oversee onsite wastewater systems, waste classification, and documentation.
Risk Reduction & Continuous Improvement
Partner with operations to identify hazards associated with:
Plastics processing equipment
Robotics and automation
Compressed air systems
Material handling and resins
Support implementation of engineering and administrative safety controls.
Track safety metrics and support improvement initiatives.
Emergency Preparedness
Assist with emergency response planning including:
Fire safety
Evacuation procedures
Spill response
Medical emergency coordination
Support drills and emergency response teams.
Education & Experience
You will Be a Good Fit If You Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing.
Experience in plastics, injection molding, blow molding, or industrial manufacturing is strongly preferred.
OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
Certifications (Preferred): CHST, ASP, or other professional safety certification.
First Aid / CPR / AED
Key Skills
Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental compliance.
Experience investigating incidents and performing root cause analysis.
Ability to influence employees and leadership to drive safe work practices.
Strong documentation and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
