Environmental Crew Leader

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Crew Leader to supervise field crews and subcontractors on environmental construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and train crews as the Environmental Crew Leader on environmental job sites
• Operate heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, skid steers) and support field labor
• Execute demolition, grading, erosion control, stream/wetland restoration, and stormwater BMP work
• Enforce OSHA and company safety standards; conduct daily safety briefings
• Communicate with clients, inspectors, and project managers regarding project progress
• Complete daily reports, timekeeping, equipment logs, and material tracking
• Maintain job site organization, efficiency, and compliance with permits and regulations

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in environmental or civil construction
• 1+ year in crew leadership (Environmental Crew Leader experience preferred)
• Heavy equipment experience required
• Valid driver's license; DOT card and equipment certifications a plus
• Ability to read blueprints and environmental work plans
• Strong communication, organization, and safety-focused mindset

Working Conditions

• Outdoor work in all weather conditions
• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, walking, and equipment operation
• Requires PPE and safe work practices
• Occasional overtime, early starts, or weekend work
• Occassional overnight travel required
