Environment & Development Intern – Sustainability, Solid Waste, Wastewater, and Regional Codes

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Wastewater and Treatment Education Roundtable’s Annual Holiday Grease Roundup
  • Providing administrative support prior to and during the FY2028-2029 solid waste pass-through grants
  • Call for Projects
  • Providing administrative support for committees and meetings
  • Coinciding and attending meetings
  • Documenting meetings through note taking and producing meeting summaries
  • Reviewing and revising documents
  • Creating and managing databases
  • Reviewing and updating website content
  • Collecting and analyzing data
  • Writing reports and compiling documents for publishing
  • Preparing public outreach and education materials, and supporting external meetings

Requirements

  • Good communication, both verbal and written, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen to and follow instructions, coordinate with team members, and present ideas
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel desired
  • Good critical-thinking and problem-solving skills desired
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, with an ability to handle multiple assignments/tasks and work well in a deadline driven environment without diminishing the quality of work
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to dynamic priorities in a fast-paced work environment

Qualifications

  • Must be attending an accredited college or university in a degree-seeking program during employment
  • No work experience required

Skills
