Environmental Intern

What You Will Be Doing

• Affords assistance in the implementation of Sustainability Management Plans and associated data tracking
• Affords assistance in identifying risks at the project site during daily site walks
• Documents findings, evaluations and inspections using Company prescribed procedures and software
• Conveys findings and solutions-based compliance options to project team
• Assists with field work such as groundwater and soil sampling, stormwater sampling, and site surveys
• Documents, analyzes, and reports environmental performance metrics to Supervisor and project teams
• Conducts research into state, county and municipal regulations related to environmental compliance on construction projects
• Maintains knowledge of Company’s values and strategic plan
• Supports published corporate policies
• Performs additional assignments per management’s direction

What We Are Looking For

• Enrolled in Environmental Sciences, Ecology, Biology, or a similar program at an accredited technical college or university preferred
• Basic understanding of state and federal environmental regulations (NEPA, CEQA, NPDES, etc)
• Basic understanding of Sustainable Business Practices
• Must be self-motivated and results oriented
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Strong judgment and highly responsible
• Willingness to work outside on a construction site in a wide-range of climates and environments
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Pay

Salary Min USD $25.00/Hr.

Salary Max USD $29.00/Hr.
